Notice is critical for all Military/DoD claims.
Notice is a very important part of the claims process for all damage or loss claims on Government Bill of Lading, DoD/Military shipments.  If you do not follow the notice rules, your claim could be denied.
 ·          180 Day
Notification Timeframe:
o   Written notification of Loss and/or Damages must
be submitted to the Carrier within 180 days from the date of delivery. Items not
timely notified may be subject to denial. ◦ Damage AT Delivery form completed
at Delivery. 
o   Damage AFTER Delivery (reverse side of Damage AT
Delivery) can be scanned/emailed, faxed or mailed to the carrier within 180 days
from the date of delivery. Suggest keeping transaction receipt for verification
of timeliness.
